Isabel Marant obsession continues....

Evening guys!

How's everyone doing?

So before Christmas I was on a mad hunt for the new season Isabel Marant Bayley sneakers....or the new Bobby's in a splash of colour (last year I was so slow and didn't get online in time for the cobalt blue and red) So this time I was prepared, I have a ritual of checking Mytheresa, Net a Porter and Matches, I out my name down on the waiting list in Harvey Nichols too!

Lo and behold, Matches delivered, 1 am in the morning I purchased my red, white with blue star Isabel Marant Bayley.....and my sister ordered the purple Bobby sneakers! Christmas came early I'm the Akhtar residence!

These are now my 3rd pair (addicted much?!) I have the black bekkets and the taupe khaki Bobby's. I wouldn't mind another pair of Bobby's....I sound insane but they are so wearable and so comfortable and for a person who hates heels the hidden wedge is a dream and i Can wear them all day.

With all this grim weather I haven't had the chance to wear them (I really don't want to get the white parts dirty) so this week was the first time I wore them...

I would like some nice dry weather now because I am obsessed....here are some more of the colour variations and style ideas for the new Marants....

New year, New start! Hello 2013!

Well it's 2013 and Blade Runner, Minority Report, Looper, Back To The Future were all wrong! Where are the hover cars they promised us? The touch screen world, the sky high escalators? We're lucky if there's no delays on the tube! But hey ho, we made it (much to the Mayans dismay) and I am determined to make it a good year!

Like everyone today my New Years resolution kicks off with me vowing to blog at least 3 times a week on all the things that go through my head! I have been a very very lazy blogger recently and really want to change this especially as I'm about to finish my application to St Martins!

So that's New Years resolution 1. Blog frequently

2. Eat healthy. No no, not diet! That is a forbidden word In my vocabulary!

3. Join more clubs and activities. I have been eager to try Bikram yoga last year so I want to get that going in the next few weeks! Anyone interested in joining me let me know :)

It's not a big list which I think is wise! Easy to hold onto them ;)

It was mine and my boyfriends 4 year anniversary :) so we spent it together, a 3 course meal cooked by my man and drinking woohoo! It was a lovely evening followed by a lovely day flittering around the shops and a nice lunch (my treat!)

So these were the lovely gifts i had for my Christmas and anniversary from Alan.....I am one lucky girl :)

Black and Gold Chanel pumps, Assouline Chanel books and The Hollow Crown

How did everyone spend their New Years? I hope everyone had a good night!

Valentino shoes to call my own!

Evening lovelies!

How's everyone doing? How's everyone's weekend been? Mine was lovely, came back from London yesterday to my nephews causing chaos and baby Daniyal chewing on my Shakespeare ducky and Zaki snooping through my bags for Christmas presents (he was unsuccessful and his Ben 10 watch is still in it's amazon box!)

This week was a busy week full of work, fun and dream purchases!

So if you follow me on twitter you'll all know I've been searching high and low for the perfect colour Valentino Rockstuds for over a year now. They've been on my radar since they launched! I even want the kitten heels! At £545 for flats and £600 for kittens you wanna hope they are exquisite and perfection! Well they are!

Being a size 41/8 is a curse! Usually most boutiques get 1 in that size (Especially Chanel) so looking online was hard, constantly sold out. London only has one boutique on Sloane Street and Harrods and Liberty are the only department stores to stock them. When I was in Paris, I had no luck there either!

So last week I called the boutique just to check and I was one lucky shoe whore! Winnie, the best sales assistant in the world, kept the shoes on hold for a week!!!!
So being the wonderful friend and shopping instigator I am, I dragged the beautiful Doreen along with me (great way to start our lovely day out) and tada! A pair of Valentino's to call my own!

(A shop at Valentino= a fabulous lunch at Nobu accompanied by Vanilla and pear cocktails!)

The wait was definitely worth it :) I have a lot of outfits planned for these cuties! They're overly excited to head to the Valentino exhibition at Somerset house with the ladies!

Here are some Celebs who also love the rockstuds from flats to heels...

My girl Alexa Chung

Caroline Sieber

Olivia Palermo proving I can have more than one pair ;)

Emma Stone

Now me thinks I need the clutch and handbag to match right ;)

What do you guys think of the shoes? Which height would you go for, flats, kitten heel or stiletto?

Thanks for reading :)

A new kitty and a new bag...

Hey everyone!
Once more, apologies for yet again a lack of posts. I have now decided to get some form of routine in with my blogging. I'm that type of gal who needs a structured outline of when to do things! It's a damn curse.
How's everyone doing? To think Christmas is 3 weeks away is just insane. This time last year I remember my mum and sister embarking on a mission to buy a pair of shoes I was dying for...the Charlotte Olympia Kitty Flats. With constant checking of the CO website I was lucky to have a pair for Christmas. Since I've had them I haven't stopped wearing them they are incredible.

So having been attached to these kitty's, I decided I wanted another pair. I was never sure what pair or when (my heart still yearns for the leopard ones!) but knew I would know when the perfect time was!
Thank you cruise 2013 collection!! Bordeaux kitty flats!!

The richness of the red is perfection! I am stupidly happy with these as burgundy really is my favourite colour and they caught a few peoples eyes on the tube home yesterday too :)

My kitty family is growing!

I'm not the only one with a huge love affair with the kitty flats look at the huge celebrity following....

Alexa Chung

Poppy Delevingne

Beyonce

Taylor Swift

And the woman that made these shoes...mama Charlotte Olympia, the goddess Charlotte Dellal

New Christmas Kitty flats became available today on the Charlotte Olympia site....

Silver glitter kitty flats

Black kitty glitter flats.

Grab them whilst you can! Once they go they never come back!

I also had a new addition to my Chanel family, a red Maxi Caviar with gold hardware.

A red to match my black (2009)
I put my Chanel discount to good use :) what a busy week....

What does everyone think of the kitty flats?

Tim Walker and Somerset House

Evening all!
My apologies for the lack of posts the last month! It's been a busy November but a lovely one. We are smoothly rolling into Christmas now and I'm finally feeling the festive spirits ( Starbucks red cups and toffee nut lattes mmm)

Me and the boyfriend finally headed to Somerset House for the Tim Walker exhibition. For those who don't know Walkers work, he is best known for his ad campaigns for Mulberry working with creative director Emma Hill to deliver and create her seasonal vision.

Tim Walker Mulberry AW12
Tim is also known in the fashion community for his creative imagination and playing on fantasy and fairytale stories, putting his own twisted imagination into his photos which have been published from Vanity Fair, Vogue, Dazed and Confused to Harpers Bazaar.

Here are some photos from the exhibition.

Agyness Deyn

Scarlett Johansson

We also made the most of the Christmas vibes at Somerset House which looked beautiful as ever.

There is a indoor style market boutique area at SH which is full of cute little stocking fillers which I definitely recommend people to visit after they've been ice skating of course :)

Has anyone been to the Tim Walker exhibition? What did you think? More importantly anyone been ice skating yet?!

Thanks for reading :)
