Paris Fashion Week Part Deux

Bonsoir lovlies!

I have arrived back in Paris ready for a very very busy few days! So i thought i would give you a few more of my fav shows from SS13 Paris week!

Christian Dior

The first ready to wear collection from the magnificent Raf Simons, and with an extra buzz around him after his exquisite Couture collection he did not fail to bring a collection which i think mirrors the couture collection! His modern twist to such a iconic brand is what Dior has needed, new and modern silhouettes and emphasis on minimalism. I am in love with this collection....

Roland Mouret

Futuristic silhouettes, cut outs and lots of red, black and whites with BERRY LEATHER!!!! I absolutely love the cut out shirt dresses and leather pants. Mouret follows on from Balenciaga crop jacket look with lots of origami and oversized tux jackets.

Isabel Marant

One of my favourite designers at the movement killed it again! A laid back collection which captures the laid back boho girl, asymmetric shoulders, playsuits, crop trousers, red, black and white prints, paisley and embellished jackets, another firm favourite in my eyes due to the collection being print crazy.

Maison Martin Margiela

Simple and minimalist for SS13, MMM up and coming H&M collaborators deliver on a classic pallet of colours, boxy and oversized silhouettes and more sumer leather (I love grey). I particularly   love the T-shirt dresses ala evening wear and the long gloves. (Please can someone buy me the bow top?)

Haider Ackerman

Polka dots, sheer fabrics and more leather. The texture in the jackets and the oversized tux jackets synched in with the touch oriental belts added to a unique collection from a talented designer (Uncle Karls favourite to take the Chanel helm!)   This collection took a more darker pallet for SS13, Vogue described the collection as "melancholy" and as if the trails of chiffon the models were trailing their own sorrows....

Vivienne Westwood

Queen of british fashion, rules the catwalk with her signature bustiers, basques, ball dresses and skirts, spring/ summer offers us a rainbow of colour and lots of jewels and embellishment. What i absolutely loved about this collection was the Marie Antoinette theme and the tapestry and brocade with lots of metallic. Bravo queen viv!

Comme Des Garcons

One of those shows that the fashion industry  MUST have a ticket for. CDG major players on innovative and show stopping collections bring their game up once more, showing are in for the art along with the fashion! The collection sees the fabric gathered together like rubbish awkward yet beautiful with slick white hair (the modern day Marie Antoinette?!) and matching eyebrows. I agree with Vogue when they say this is definitely a collection out their to make a point on  the fast fashion nature we live in...

Kenzo

Finally another label that decided to break the white, black and red colours for SS13! Kenzo another of my favourites right now (Yes i am still on the prowl for the tiger jumper!! more for SS13 too!) Safari colours, burnt orange, blues and crazy prints (Including oversized trippy leopard) Kenzo is upping it's game big time and i am certainly one of the people who absolutely loves it.

Celine

Phoebe Philo brings an absolutely brilliant, laid back, luxe cool collection for SS13. After an intimate show last season (due to Philo being heavily preggers) this was another show that everyone wanted to be at and boy they were lucky, stunning from start to end with the wrapping details, mesh, tuxedo dress, flares and more crops, this collection makes me happy because the accessories were insanely beautiful (FLUFFY SLIPPERS?!!! YES PLEASE!) I would love the paper bag style leather clutch in red.

Hermes

Hermes will always be my dream wardrobe, why? Because the collection just oozes luxury every season. This is favourite from today due to the mix of sharp masculine tailoring mixed with bold colours (long live electric blue leather) and oriental and petite geo prints along with the oversized leather jackets, crops, use of suedes. The accessories were on top for as ever, with leather braces, oversized mixed leather Birkin bags and very pointy courts. Swoon.

What was your favourite from today?

I hope you guys are enjoying PFW!!

X
