Shades of Grey

I am back! I have missed blogging the last few weeks, but work has consumed me massively. But thanks to the wonderful other half we have made some time to take photos of my favourite outfits.

As ever I love this outfit, it is easy, chic and very much embodying my love for fresh simplicity. Grey is definitely one of my favourite colours, it is easy to match and looks extra chic. It also goes really well with pink, specifically my new (well bought in the sale back in January at 75% off!) Carven coat. I was really lucky with this find, I previously had a pink coat from Topshop which I have worn to death. This was a no brainer, the fit is perfection and it is super warm.

Chanel sneakers have been my weakness since I witnessed the supermarket collection, I love to save my runway pairs for special occasions because they are so delicate, yet so so comfortable. The tweed is just perfection along with the holographic leather. I was lucky to get 2 pairs these and a pink pair. I love that Zara and New Look have produced their own versions because the sneaker game is still very high, they have become a bigger outgoing for Chanel than their classic ballerinas and it is super hard to find just a classic pair of running sneakers.

The Camera bag is the new Chanel must have bag. This style was launched for the Cruise 2015 collection and was part of the runway and the whole concept of the collection. Obviously The Camera bag has been a huge model for Chanel, however this is a much modern twist, double sides, quilted and chevron imprinted. The model has now spilled into Spring Summer 15 in some beautiful yellow, pink and blue tones. I have the medium size, and there is a larger size up for all you hoarders :)

Thanks for reading guys

Merry Christmas, Happy Anniversary Oh and Happy Bargain Hunting!

I can't even begin to express how happy I am with my holidays. Why are we all back in work? How did the festive period fly by so quickly?! How the hell did I nurse my hangover on 1st. Oh yeah I went to the sales.

Firstly I have to thank my wonderful boyfriend for my presents. We had our 6th anniversary on New Years so we always combine Christmas and anniversary gifts. We are that couple who are practical and have a budget but maintain the surprise element. I must say I did really good for Alan thanks to Secret Sales and the NFL shop! But I was so over whelmed by my presents. I just couldn't believe it because he actually listens. I am so excited to read Diane's book she's a wonderful inspiration for all women and full of so much heart. The earrings I wore immediately, I have the matching necklace and had these on my wish list but couldn't find them as this style with the Islamic crest has been so popular in the Chanel Dubai collection. I feel so blessed to have something so significant to my heart.

The big surprise had to be my Valentino 1973 Chevron rainbow Rockstud flats. I am so in love I just want to wear them, alas it is a bit too cold for them!

So after some lovely gifts we decided to head out to the sales on new years as we were already out for some hangover cure Wagamamas. I have really restrained myself this season sale by watching closely pieces I wanted but not at full price. So really what I'm saying here is I am not giving into impulse buys! Selfridges proved to be good to me in the form of my most wanted item of 2014…the Saint Laurent Kitten heels with studded bows! YAY YAY YAY! Oh and a wonderful Marc By Marc Jacobs Bunny Hop- Revolution hoody (Outfit post to come soon). Wahoo.

So first day of the year I achieved a pair of shoes….I was going for gold and wanted to buy a bag on the 2nd, knowing the Chanel sale was on the 3rd I went in to pre sale shop, but alas nothing worth buying, so I moved onto Harrods and Harvey Nichols for more bargain hunting. I don't know how it happened but there was no bag worthy of a purchase. Either overpriced or shit. What a shame really. So I decided to bite the bullet and buy…My Valentino Rockstud shoulder bag. I am so in love and happy I went with something I want, a classic and not something that will be on eBay in 6 weeks. It's all about the investment. On top I got to use my Gold Tier card in Harrods for an early 10%! Score!

What have you guys been buying?!

Flying into 2015

Happy New Year everyone!!!!! I know it's been ages since I have blogged but as a part of my new years resolution I am hopefully going to blog a lot more about my own style and brands I am loving along with trends. I know it is something I say every year but I have realised that I take so much pleasure in sharing my outfits on Instagram so why can I not apply the same enthusiasm to my blog?!

I am obsessed with my new Isabel Marant Aviator jacket. It is so warm and comfortable, to top it off it has been on my list of things to buy since it launched at the start of AW14 so to find it in the sale at 60% was a true blessing! It was a no brainer to pair it with my Marant striped top and Sandro jeans because let's face it the French have always had the leather jacket looks down to perfection/

I love my ever growing Chanel collection especially these two pieces. It is always hard to call something my favourite in my Chanel collection when everything is. I am a fussy buyer (it may not seem it but I am) I have a mind of my own and like to be quirky or understated, so when I see people trying too hard I don't know wether as a stylist to feel offended or to turn away and put it down to a lack of imagination. I definitely feel 2014 was the birth of a whole new side of Chanel but this year with the impending Riot collection and Salzburg it's not gonna stop the ever growing fascination with Chanel. My trainers are from Dubai cruise collection, after being super fussy about the sneakers, in the space of 2 months I managed to rake up an impressive 5 pairs! These are my "light" pair (denim and white). The boy bag is my dream boy. I bought this is the summer in Paris, I wanted a velvet since 2013 so when I saw this in a rare size I knew it was worth the wait. It practically goes with everything.

I hope everyone has been enjoying their first few days of the year!

The Plaid Express

Bonsoir from Paris! Sorry for the lack of love Christmas fever has kicked in!

Back in early October, myself and the boyfriend were invited to a lovely event at Isabel Marant. I have been a huge Marant fan for years and this seasons Étoile collection has been incredible. I really treated myself with this collection and walked away with 3 dresses and a leather jacket! This haul has to be my best this year. The pieces I bought are definitely forever pieces.

This plaid dress has completely taken over my life! No I am not being dramatic. It really has. I have worn this so many times I truly am getting my moneys worth. Even better, I went and bought an alternative colour combo as this dress is so light, warm and comfortable that I thought the red and black would be an amazing addition. (Days after I bought the Red and Black version, the oh so cool Anna Dello Russo was seen in Seoul wearing the same dress.) Of course I have to thank the plaid gods for being in fashion this season. I find it really hard to find a lovely and not a part time Plaid dress to add to my wardrobe so thanks Isabel for bringing these into my life. I cannot wait to blog the Red and Black version of this dress for you.

Bonsoir Choupette

Evening everyone!

I am so sorry for being AWOL recently. It is that time of the year where work has consumed me and people congregate around me like I have the holy answer! I wish!

But alas I am in full happy mood that Christmas is around the corner and for once I think November is moving slowly. Why? Well I think it helps when a lot of new Christmas collections and Cruise collection land in stores. It's like a giant playground for us fashionistas right? But it is also the biggest hole one can create in the bank account.

One collection I have been excited about has been the Karl Lagerfeld Choupette collection.

Who doesn't love this man and his love for Choupette, quite possibly the most famous cat in the world. So it's a no brainer that he would make a wonderful collection that focuses on his one love. So here are some of the pieces that have become available in the Karl boutiques around the globe (no online sales as of yet).

How cute right and they did not fail to look as wonderful in real…

I was so pleased with the bits I got from the collection…

What do you guys think of the collection? How sweet is the new Choupette bag charm? I really want the red one too!

Would love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks Uncle Karl for my new gems!
