Shades of Grey

I am back! I have missed blogging the last few weeks, but work has consumed me massively. But thanks to the wonderful other half we have made some time to take photos of my favourite outfits.

As ever I love this outfit, it is easy, chic and very much embodying my love for fresh simplicity. Grey is definitely one of my favourite colours, it is easy to match and looks extra chic. It also goes really well with pink, specifically my new (well bought in the sale back in January at 75% off!) Carven coat. I was really lucky with this find, I previously had a pink coat from Topshop which I have worn to death. This was a no brainer, the fit is perfection and it is super warm.

Chanel sneakers have been my weakness since I witnessed the supermarket collection, I love to save my runway pairs for special occasions because they are so delicate, yet so so comfortable. The tweed is just perfection along with the holographic leather. I was lucky to get 2 pairs these and a pink pair. I love that Zara and New Look have produced their own versions because the sneaker game is still very high, they have become a bigger outgoing for Chanel than their classic ballerinas and it is super hard to find just a classic pair of running sneakers.

The Camera bag is the new Chanel must have bag. This style was launched for the Cruise 2015 collection and was part of the runway and the whole concept of the collection. Obviously The Camera bag has been a huge model for Chanel, however this is a much modern twist, double sides, quilted and chevron imprinted. The model has now spilled into Spring Summer 15 in some beautiful yellow, pink and blue tones. I have the medium size, and there is a larger size up for all you hoarders :)

Thanks for reading guys

Flying into 2015

Happy New Year everyone!!!!! I know it's been ages since I have blogged but as a part of my new years resolution I am hopefully going to blog a lot more about my own style and brands I am loving along with trends. I know it is something I say every year but I have realised that I take so much pleasure in sharing my outfits on Instagram so why can I not apply the same enthusiasm to my blog?!

I am obsessed with my new Isabel Marant Aviator jacket. It is so warm and comfortable, to top it off it has been on my list of things to buy since it launched at the start of AW14 so to find it in the sale at 60% was a true blessing! It was a no brainer to pair it with my Marant striped top and Sandro jeans because let's face it the French have always had the leather jacket looks down to perfection/

I love my ever growing Chanel collection especially these two pieces. It is always hard to call something my favourite in my Chanel collection when everything is. I am a fussy buyer (it may not seem it but I am) I have a mind of my own and like to be quirky or understated, so when I see people trying too hard I don't know wether as a stylist to feel offended or to turn away and put it down to a lack of imagination. I definitely feel 2014 was the birth of a whole new side of Chanel but this year with the impending Riot collection and Salzburg it's not gonna stop the ever growing fascination with Chanel. My trainers are from Dubai cruise collection, after being super fussy about the sneakers, in the space of 2 months I managed to rake up an impressive 5 pairs! These are my "light" pair (denim and white). The boy bag is my dream boy. I bought this is the summer in Paris, I wanted a velvet since 2013 so when I saw this in a rare size I knew it was worth the wait. It practically goes with everything.

I hope everyone has been enjoying their first few days of the year!

Chanel On The Go.

Denim Shirt- Monki

I cannot believe it has taken me this long to post about my absolute loves…The Chanel sneakers from AW14 collection. So I know i am a lucky pup. My job and hard work always pays off when it comes to getting the pieces I love. I was extra lucky when I was told I could buy as many pairs and I wanted 3 days before the launch of the collection! I of course had the pink on my list since the show and the bright multicolour, but I didn't realise I would fall in love with the grey as much as I did.

But alas I stuck with my original 2 choices and a pair of the classic running sneakers which finally came in a colour combo that suited my style and taste. I instantly had to wear them so I wore my first and favourite out -These to die for Pink Tweed. Now these are the ones almost everyone wanted due to the whole runway look (Oh and Alexa Chung having them) so I was so smug walking around the days before launch but didn't realise walking to my meeting in Selfridges would lead to a woman screaming at me to tell her who sold them to me. Wow!

That aside, this outfit was so planned pre obtaining my dream sneakers. When you ask? Well when I bought these joggers in H&M Paris. If you know me well you will know I am not big on sports luxe, I love sneakers but not the biggest jogger fan. I just immediately fell in love with these and instantly knew what to pair it with, classic denim shirt and leather jacket. I especially love that my favourite Monki denim shirt worked so so well with the outfit. Now it's time to work out what other outfits will go with my pants.

'Dem Parisian Vibes

I cannot express how much I love these 2 books at the moment. As told by wonderful Parisian friends, I do not need a book to tell me how to be a Parisian wherever I am because I am already one. The best compliment ever, especially from  REAL Parisians! But hey! I wanted to support my style crush, favourite person in my Chanel family, Caroline de Maigret and her amazing group of girlfriends who are lending all their tips to every woman out there that is interested in embracing that Jane Birkin attitude.

The book isn't just a how to be, it is full of funny quips, tips, friendship, the perfect dinner table conversation (with a matching menu to accompany it), how to have a successful affair oh and how to turn men on with a simple Burberry trench. That's right, no longer will I envy the Charlotte Gainsbourg wannabes in my clique, I WILL BE THAT WOMAN!

I genuinely couldn't recommend a more chic and funny read for my little fashionistas.

I also wanted to share with you the amazing new Chanel Art book which is due for world launch in mid October. If you can remember back in October 2013, the Spring Summer 2014 show was all about the artistic Chanel girl. The set was full of amazing art pieces which have been documented in this book. It is a must have for any coffee table book collectors/ Chanel fans. I'm very lucky to have my copy before launch and I am proud owner of a first edition too. Each piece for me is so special and I love looking back and remembering my memories from the days leading up to the show and the day.

I love this look, I really think my style adapts all the time. My current obsession since early this year has been duster coats. I wanted a nice thick one for autumn, something I could wrap up. This trench duster is my dream jacket. It's a gorgeous length and cut beautifully. Thank you once again Monki.

My Mansur tote has been the best addition to my bag collection this year. Thanks mum and dad for this! I knew I wanted the tote after buying my bucket bag in March. I wasn't however sure if black was needed in my collection, but as any person looking for a Mansur Gavriel knows, it is hard to find the bag in the first place so I cannot even imagine the stress my parents went through to get this but all I know is Net-A-Porter were a fantastic help. As for my doubts, completely out the window. I love this bag so much it's hard not to use it when it is perfection.

The Chanel Dallas sneakers are just the cutest. These capture the collection perfectly, on top of that it really adds a pop to any basic outfit. Ive noticed with Chanel sneakers the best style for myself is low tops to show off my skinny ankles. These in the high top were cute but god I am so glad they weren't in my size because these have made me so happy. They stand out for themselves in my ever growing sneakers collection.

Thanks for reading guys.

Chanel Sneaker Mania.

Hey guys,

The last year has seen the rise of Chanel. I know what you're all thinking, it's always been at the top of its game, you can't argue that Chanel isn't at the front of luxury branding. It's got to the point that the Heathrow terminal 3 boutique has stopped selling classic bags due to the tax free shopping and the popularity. But it's not just about the classic bags any more or the simple ballerinas, it's everything. Jewellery, bags, shoes, ready to wear oh and sneakers…yep sneakers.

Last week saw Karl Lagerfeld most cutting edge couture show. It was spectacular because there were NO HEELS! Proof that Chanel knows what us the consumers want, and of course the creme de la creme of fashion, the Haute Couture clients. The show was spectacular as always. Sébastien Tellier played a live set while the models dressed in the modern silhouette of nipped in waists, pastel colour pallets and the cutest knee pads ever to come down a couture catwalk (I'm pretty sure the only catwalk). Pre heading onto the catwalk the models were told to have fun and they did, making faces and skipping along. All in the name of the modern woman.

I am so happy that sneakers are "cool" again, I've always had a soft spot for them, being a Converse, Nike, Vans fan from a young age you kinda can't stray away from the comfort of a good sneaker/skater. Plus i cannot wear heels to save my life. It's not just Chanel who have embraced the new fashion world of sneakers, they were also shown on Dior Couture runway, Isabel Marant brought her name to commercial fame thanks to her hidden heel sneakers, Lanvin with their snake trainers and Miu Miu for their incredibly cool and glittery trainers with embellished toes.

Why does Chanel stand out though? Why is everyone cooing over them? Simple. They are goddamn comfortable and chic. Now these Haute Couture babies alone cost £3000, and if that price tag doesn't sting enough there, you'll be even more teary when you find out you can only buy these babies with the whole outfit. Yep I wanna to cry too.

Fear not thought Chanel offer a lot of alternatives, and have confirmed that will release similar versions of the couture in a cheaper price range.

I'm always kicking myself when it comes to buying a pair. Last year I left an incredible pair of cut out lace hi-top sneakers in navy despite my sister (the frugal shopper) telling me to buy them. In December when cruise collection launched I was so ill I didn't buy a pair of the all back running sneakers that my beautiful friend Melissa kept behind for me, I was determined that I looked awful in them and walked away with a pair of leather espadrilles and seasonal ballerinas. FOOL. Oh and do not start me on the tweed runners…they were so late arriving to the UK that we didn't even get all the sizes!

The ones that ran away...

So when I came across a pair that I fell head over heels for it was a no brainer NOT to make the same mistake THRICE. What I must stress also is, how amazing and wonderful my boyfriend is for buying these for Valentines day for me. I am one lucky princess...

I am so besotted with these, I've been allowed to have them early to take on my holiday to Seoul and Kuala Lumpur (5 DAYS EEEEK). The quality is perfection and the added detail of the pearls just kill me. I wouldn't mind the matching bag with the sneakers now hehe.

I was so torn between these and the Camélia sneakers from Cruise collect. Hand crafted Camélia perfection. The stripes bring an added touch of fun and youth to them:

These beautiful lace versions are also available in limited quantity. Delicate in the soft lace used and an adaptation of the Couture show from September 2013, these are not a pair to be stood on…these need a taxi.

Are you guys down the with the sneaker phase in fashion?

Thanks for reading guys.

Lots of Love

Nadia
