All Black...

Back on the bloggersphere after an amazing month of travelling to Japan and Cuba (lets not forget I live in-between London and Paris!) so I am so happy to actually be settling back to some normality and putting this blog post up!

Let's be honest this look is still relevant to the weather because it has just been so shit! I am praying this good weather sticks around now. At least give us the chance to put these long coats away?! Anyway, that's my quintessential English weather moment over…lets focus on the fact I am so massively, totally, utterly madly in love with Gucci. 

Since the moment Alessandro showed his first show (This time last year) I have been on the Gucci change to greatness train. It went from love to a pure and utter obsession, I now stalk the website for brand new updates and pre orders (yes even the pre-orders are hard to get hold of!) I must admit my passion to stay ahead of the Gucci pack has been on top form. I don't brag when I say I literally had no doubts this would be a fashion revolution. When I bought my Dionysus bag (in a non printed GG because I knew that it would be harder to get hold of rather than the GG which would be a constant in the gucci collection, and it has been.) no one wanted to know, everyone said it was nice but just a phase, roll on a year later and they are in constant demand, sold out and released in alternative sizes and colours. I should also mention how EVERY "IT" blogger has it because another blogger bought it but of course the reasoning would never ever be inner circle competition at all *insert eye roll here*. Back to the shoes...I adore these shoes so bloody much. They are beyond comfortable and the details make me swoon. That is what I love about Gucci, the attention to details and the ability to differ itself from the rest of the fashion pack. It truly follows no trend but the passion and love of art. I would love to absorb myself in Alessandro Michele head! Since buying these I have worn them so much the leather have soften. These look great with dresses and jeans and can definitely be dressed up or down. 

Oh and this is howI maximise my Gucci buys- I use the ribbon as a chocker! I am currently obsessed with chokers all over again. According to my mother she's having major flash backs to my Buffy phase (I would like to note I still take tips from Buffy! She rocked a camisole!). All I am gonna say is, give me more chokers and my Dior sunnies this summer!

Gucci loving over (it truly never is over!), you all know I like my quirky pieces to be the stand out piece, I think the details lie in accessories. I do however make sure I buy key essential pieces now like this polka dot shirt from New Look. I bought this originally in burgundy, then this black then grey. Yep, I love it, before i went crazy with the other colours, I did test the burgundy out (wear, wash and wear again) and it passed. I use to spend too much money on fast fashion and constantly use to moan to my mum about not having enough for designer pieces I wanted. I have learned from my job and experience it isn't about the quantity of your wardrobe but the quality. Something I live by now, that doesn't mean high street is out of the equation. No. You just have to be savvy and know what trend you will hold on to past the actual trends sell by date. I.e Polka dot shirts! 

I definitely apply my essential buys to my jeans. Everyone who knows me knows I have the biggest weakness for denim. If I had it my way this blog would be named "Diary of a double denim queen" but that would get boring quite quickly. I swear by Topshop Joni jeans. I have had cheap jeans and expensive jeans. I do love current elliot jeans and Frame, but Topshop is my ultimate go to. I have had so many issues with jeans, for some reasons MOST hight street stores seem to believe the bigger the waist the fatter the legs…hmmm! Thanks Topshop for the best jeans!

This Chanel is beyond cute and amazing. This was one of my christmas presents from the cruise collection. This is such a cute and boxy shape, and it fits so so much in. The chain is actually grosgrain rather than leather so I like to treat this little lambskin beauty safe!

Jump for Versailles

I cannot believe I am only just getting round to posting my outfit posts from my August holiday to Paris with my family. I love Paris, and even when I am here for work I struggle to just stroll around and take in the calm and serenity of the city. So since last year me and the boyfriend make an effort to come once a year for the Rock en Seine music festival. I am obsessed with music, it's been a huge part of my life, and we aren't just talking like a scenster. No. I absorb so many different styles of music, its like fashion you just know how to appreciate your rap metal to new season Fendi! Alas I digress as I usually do.This year with 3 major headliners (Arctic Monkeys, The Prodigy and Queens of The Stone Age) my brother and sister decided to come along and join our week of fun. I have to stress how AMAZING french festivals are, they are clean and polite and a far cry from british ones. It's also refreshing to see people are there for the music and not there because a fashion brand has called them over to party and take photos of there VERY planned "Festival Chic". My personal opinion of festival fashion is, seriously get a grip and be yourself, the Uk festivals have become less about the music and more about looking like a poor poor drag act. Please leave it for the professionals!

Again digression has kicked in. Back to my week of fun. We arrived in Paris on a Wednesday and enjoyed a lovely meal at Creperie Josselin in the Montparnasse area of Paris. I highly recommend this creperie, it's so perfect and quaint although the queue is as long as a sale at Chanel. The festival was a friday to sunday job, so we decided to do a day at Versailles on the thursday taking into account the weather for the week ahead. This wasn't my first time at Versailles (nor my last as I was only there last week) but it was the first for my brother and sister. Of course they loved it. You would be a fool not to love such an amazing historical place. It really is one of the most majestic grounds I've ever walked and I have travelled a fair bit in my 27 years. It would have been a cruel crime not to take advantage of Alan with his camera, the sweet back drop, my Chanel back pack oh and another denim dress! I TOLD YOU I WAS OBSESSED. 

This little denim dress is from Topshop and well I don't need to explain the love of denim to you guys again do I?

Ever since I bought my Chanel backpack in March it has been in non-stop use. I wanna stick my middle finger up to the cocky sales assistant in a non relevant shop who told me I would get bored of my backpack. Sorry love don't think that will ever happen seen as though 1. You don't know me, 2. You don't know my style, 3. You chat shit and the whole world doesn't want to be a fashion android constantly using the same classic Chanel in different colours. This for me has been the perfect addition to my bag collection. It was perfect for the holiday too and I can see it going across the world to Japan with me next year.

One thing I wish I did do differently was not use these amazing burgundy with navy toe Chanel ballerinas. They were perfect for inside the Chateau, but walking around outside in the rubble they got a bit dusty…but fear not they have been dusted and polished and back to a happy form. This pair has to be one of my most worn pair of ballerinas because the colour is just me all over. I swear by Chanel Ballerinas, they are my go to work and play shoes! 

The Moschino fever just keeps on growing in the world. I have always had this fever. I remember my sisters sweater back in the 90's that she once left on one of the rare weekends she was home from university. Like everything back then (when we were the same size clothes and shoes…my feet continued to work against me and my plans to invade my sisters size 5 Tom Ford Gucci shoe closet failed as they went on to become the raging Krusty the clown size 8) I wore it with gleeful pride in our back then shared bedroom and once even ventured out with it on which of course angered her and amused my mother who still claims to know nothing of these memories despite being the person who dropped me off to school in said bright red MOSCHINO jumper. I love what Jeremy Scott has done to the brand. Reviving the vintage elements with a modern twist is always a winning combo especially in the case of Moschino. When it was first announced Jeremy was heading to Moschino I know I wasn't the only one thinking "Well why didn't that happen sooner". I loved the whole AW14 collection in moderation of course. As I always do, I fell insanely in love with this bracelet, I rarely wear my vintage Moschino belts and thought this was too cute to leave behind. I have worn in practically all summer and can't recommend it enough, It's just so chic in its own loud vintage manner.

Shoreditch days

Evening all, I am currently writing this blog post from the comfort of my apartment in Paris. It's been a busy few days and on top of Paris Fashion Week madness I have come down with the flu. BOOOOOO! But I will not let that get me down or stop me from doing my job which lead to me getting a vitamin shot early this morning along with an IV drip all before heading to the Carven SS15 show. Enough of the self pity because I love my job, I love Paris and I am lucky I work for a company who look after me.

I can't believe I am so behind on posting my outfit shoots. I love this look. As you all know from my previous posts I am PRO DENIM. Jeans, dresses, shorts, and dungarees you name it I have it. Just call me the Welsh Pakistani Alexa Chung (in my sweet fashion dreams). This dress is meant to be a tunic, but me being who I am skinny legs and big hips went a size up for the extra length. Also I am still in my 20's so why not flash a bit of flesh to the scensters in Shoreditch?! I love this floral print, Dorothy Perkins have really upped their game and I am obsessed with constantly checking the site for new pieces. 

This Chanel necklace has to be my most worn piece of Chanel jewellery. EVER. This is from the Dallas collection and I had my reservations about this, was it too big, was it too brashy?. That is certainly not the case now! It's been worn nearly every day this summer. What is more ironic is I use to tell myself I was all gold and no silver and now I like to mix both colours and have learnt to appreciate Silver. Maybe it's an age thing? Like learning to appreciate olives and red wine ;)

I cannot express the happiness  I felt when I got these Pearl sandals in the Chanel summer sale. These are a size 41.5 and were ordered in for me because my usual 41 was too small. At the time of them coming out I couldn't justify them as a purchase when they were so delicate and definitely for more special occasions. All I have to say is it was just meant to be because they went half price AND they were the only pair not to sell in the whole of Europe. PLUS I was lucky enough to buy all my sale pieces before sale day. How amazing? The shoe gods were on my side. I am still gonna pamper these like a baby, you don't often find Chanel perfection like this so it's nice to keep these for events and summer evenings. I thought this was the perfect outfit for their first outing. 

Where do I start with the Fendi By The Way. I fell in love with this bag as soon as I saw this go down the runway in the AW14 collection and was eager to see it and try it out. Like I have always told you guys, I always take my time choosing a bag, especially after spending my youth buying bags for the sake of it (i.e I lived at home and spent all my wages on Mulberry!). Now I buy for quality, value and a classic add to my collection. Gone are the days I would cave to a new Mulberry bag. I got to preview the Fendi when the Bond street flagship store reopened. I waited a few months knowing Ramadan was around the corner and knew more colours would be available and a chance of mama and papa buying it as my Eid present. THEY DID!!!! I chose the grey because I love the use of 3 tones of grey for the bag and I love grey I feel it is an essential colour in everyones wardrobe modern and chic. I sealed the deal of knowing this is a bag for life by getting my initials monogrammed on the tag, a cute touch Fendi like to add to their bags. Since buying this I haven't stopped using it. I am eager to buy another because it is the perfect bag, just like a Celine Trio or a classic Chanel!

Summer Breeze

Oh wow, I didn't realise that I had fallen so behind on my outfit posts! But hey it's better to have them out there than to not post them right? I cannot express how obsessed I am with this Topshop skirt. When I first saw it on the advert campaign I didn't think it would be a skirt that would flatter my huge hips but when I saw it in the shop I had to give it a try. The print was too mouthwatering not to give a chance. I ultimately knew that the matching bralet wouldn't be a go for me so I left that to the more adventurous and smaller boobed Topshop girl! The skirt and me immediately bonded in the changing room and I strode out happily beating the wide hiped gods! I knew this would be the perfect outfit to wear for the boyfriends birthday because it is an easy dress up-dress down kinda skirt. Plus it embodies the whole SS14 Dior look! I know that you'll see this skirt again in the winter paired with a crisp shirt!

It was easy to know straight away that I would use my Celine Trio in lipstick to match the skirt. I have been a Trio fan for a while now and I cannot emphasis how brilliant they are and perfect for day to night looks. Plus the practicality of them is perfection. I definitely recommend adding one of these to your handbag wardrobe. 

My Eiffel Tower sandals from Charlotte Olympia are still going strong! If someone had told me last year that I would wear these so much, I would of tried to find a second pair. As shoes that have been worn to death go, I expect these to last one more summer before having to take its place under my bed to rest for special occasions. I will not dwell on their impending retirement. I won't. 

You all know how much I love my Dior sunnies. These have been my go to all season and probably forever, This even counts for my Chanel Paris- Dallas pieces. This necklace is currently my favourite along with my giant silver one from the dallas collection. I always check jewellery in Chanel and evaluate their vintage value in the future. Not all Chanel jewellery is a good idea post season.

Knightsbridge in Full Bloom.

Afternoon guys, 

I'm sorry everyone for the lack of blog posts, with the World Cup starting and work being very busy my evenings have been full of impromptu naps and the other half screaming at the TV. FUN!

 I absolutely love this outfit post. This Topshop dress has become one of my go to dresses since buying it. What's even cooler is I bought mine before Alexa Chung was seen in it. Mwahaha. I've also had some amazing comments about my denim jacket. I was very lucky with this buy. I bought this denim jacket from A.P.C when I was in paris with my dad in 2012. It's still practically like new, and I wear it all year round. I have to say investing in good denim isn't just a myth made up by bloggers and stylist pushed to promote denim brands. Nope. If you get a decent jacket you'll enjoy it for a long long time. I would love to get this length denim jacket in a black. 

Alfonso enjoyed the day out too. I never thought I would say this but I would love to get another one of the Fendi Bag Monsters. They are so cute and have such character. Currently Harrods have some limited edition ones to celebrate a Fendi fun fare popup in the store. 

Yep, I wore my favourite sunnies the Dior SoReal. I cannot get enough of these. I love them.

We spent the morning at the V&A The Italian Fashion exhibition. It was a lovely day so we decided to walk to Harrods (where we had lunch at the  Prada Marchesi pop up restaurant which accompanied the Prada exhibition in store) and explore the gorgeous streets of Knightsbridge. It is 100% my dream to move to the area, specifically in one of the coloured houses please. Imagine the daily outfit pics.

The black and fuchsia Chanel ballerinas are just amazing. Bought in the Chanel sale in January, I can't believe how much wear I've had out of these. They are the perfect quirky black shoes, to jazz any outfit up. My addiction to Chanel ballerinas will never end. 

The heart Chanel necklace, yep I've featured this before but I really think it is my favourite necklace. It's so romantic and cute. I've found recently that a lot of people have been asking about it. I always feel guilty telling people I bought this in 2011 but my advise to people is to always check out Chanel costume jewellery for the quirkier pieces that will sit well in the future. 

Oh god, I seriously have to say, my Chanel backpack is one of my favourite buys this year. I have had amazing use out of this. Yep it is laced in controversy regarding the price etc, but I feel like a lot of people are quick to judge people for spending 2k on a handbag yet they have their own vices. I love it, I use it, and it is so comfortable.
