A Fairytale in Montmartre

Dress- Topshop
Denim Shirt- Primark
Bag- Celine Trio
Sandals- Ancient Greek
Sneakers- Saint Laurent
Floral Hairband- Vintage
Sunglasses- Miu Miu
Necklace- Chanel

They definitely kept the best till last at Rock en Seine. Sunday night saw us get absolutely hammered dancing to Brody Dalle, Lana Del Rey, La Roux, Kavinsky and the all mighty Queens of The Stone Age! But before we ventured off to the festival we took in the sights of my local area- Montmartre. God I love the Sacre Coeur. To say I wake up in this area never gets old. I really love walking around here and it was so nice to share it with my brother who always wonders what I am always talking about when I come home and spill the Parisian gossip.

As you know I LOVE this gingham dress from Topshop. I've blogged about it before in a previous post and just could not wear this in Paris. As you can see I did change my shoes. I went from gleefully running around the Sacre Coeur in Ancient Greek Sandals to be truly debaucherous and running from stage to stage in my beloved (and only 2 days old) Saint Laurent Fang sneakers! Plus an add of a floral hairband (vintage) and here I present a 2 ways to wear one outfit in the same day.

As it was the last day at the festival and a Sunday we did take the opportunity to drop all necessary things off to the apartment which meant me and the boyfriend shared a tote bag. I absolutely loved the freedom of running around with no bag (of course he carried it!) it did make me more mischievous and we ended the night singing and skipping home…of course the repercussions of a hangover were not thought about! But hey we enjoyed it and we revelled in having a lovely hangover breakfast at Cafe de Flore (Seriously I recommend the Baileys espresso as a hangover cure!) and a spot of shopping in Saint Germain. Ah Paris I love you.

Summer Breeze

Oh wow, I didn't realise that I had fallen so behind on my outfit posts! But hey it's better to have them out there than to not post them right? I cannot express how obsessed I am with this Topshop skirt. When I first saw it on the advert campaign I didn't think it would be a skirt that would flatter my huge hips but when I saw it in the shop I had to give it a try. The print was too mouthwatering not to give a chance. I ultimately knew that the matching bralet wouldn't be a go for me so I left that to the more adventurous and smaller boobed Topshop girl! The skirt and me immediately bonded in the changing room and I strode out happily beating the wide hiped gods! I knew this would be the perfect outfit to wear for the boyfriends birthday because it is an easy dress up-dress down kinda skirt. Plus it embodies the whole SS14 Dior look! I know that you'll see this skirt again in the winter paired with a crisp shirt!

It was easy to know straight away that I would use my Celine Trio in lipstick to match the skirt. I have been a Trio fan for a while now and I cannot emphasis how brilliant they are and perfect for day to night looks. Plus the practicality of them is perfection. I definitely recommend adding one of these to your handbag wardrobe.

My Eiffel Tower sandals from Charlotte Olympia are still going strong! If someone had told me last year that I would wear these so much, I would of tried to find a second pair. As shoes that have been worn to death go, I expect these to last one more summer before having to take its place under my bed to rest for special occasions. I will not dwell on their impending retirement. I won't.

You all know how much I love my Dior sunnies. These have been my go to all season and probably forever, This even counts for my Chanel Paris- Dallas pieces. This necklace is currently my favourite along with my giant silver one from the dallas collection. I always check jewellery in Chanel and evaluate their vintage value in the future. Not all Chanel jewellery is a good idea post season.

Pagoda Vs Metallica

Hey guys,

A few weeks ago me and the boyfriend took advantage of the good weather and took ourselves to Victoria Park which is only 15 minutes away from us. Since moving to East London (I'm a North London girl at heart) we haven't really explored east besides Shoreditch and Brick Lane. So it was quite nice to take the camera and my little outfit out to the park.

Victoria Park is really beautiful, being a welshie and living in London I do often miss the green, the peace and quiet (thank god I get to go home) so it felt very tranquil for the middle of London.

I love a pagoda and what they represent, it's rare to find such a new build in London. I didn't even know there was a pagoda in the park so you can imagine my excitement, it's the same excitement I get when I'm abroad.

This is a typical laid back outfit for me on the weekend, I am very much a t-shirt and jeans kinda girl. My t-shirt is stolen from one of my best friend Gaspard who told me I looked better in it than him. Thanks Gaspi. The skaters are the oh so awesome Celine tartan, well worn since buying them. They are the most comfortable shoes I own and I'm so glad my wonderful friend Doreen convinced me to buy them over Chanel sneakers. I think i definitely pass as a 70's rocker!

I love these Ray Bans. I bought these at Duty Free in Heathrow for my trip to Seoul and Kuala Lumpur. These were limited edition from last years collection and I couldn't get my hands on them so they have been sitting at the airport waiting for me! I love a rose tinted lens, especially with gold.

Oh my baby! I don't often bring my Electric Blue Celine out to play purely because I treasure it so much. I love the Nano, it's an excellent size, perfect for everyday use and taking out. I'm also very fond of the colour. Not a lot people would think electric blue is easy to match but it is. It goes with everything. I would love to get another bag in this colour soon and also a new Nano.

These were the first pair of jeans I bought with the intention of customising myself. For my first go I did myself really proud. So proud that a few people have asked me where they are from! Credit where credit is due, these pair come from Dorothy Perkins. These are the Eden Jeggings. I advise any woman whose looking for a pair of comfortable jeans to come here! They do not look like jeggings at all and actually do sizing in leg lengths. Score.

Spring Awakening

Hey guys,

As you all know in the middle of March we had a nice old break from the rain, and the sun truly came out to play across the whole of the UK. We somehow got treated to a bit of warmth. Let's face it, it sounds like a lie but it happened guys! We didn't dream it!!!! There is hope for a wonderful spring (we have been robbed of an hour so we want our money's worth) yet.

As a part of my new quest to take time to shoot my outfits I saw a perfect opportunity to shoot my outfit for the blog. My photographer you ask? Well my loving boyfriend Alan, who actually works quite close to me. Our middle ground- St James Park.

We were really spoilt by the weather, the daffodils, the cherry blossoms and the ducks. There is also a black swan but she's hard to find.

I loved this outfit, this tweed blazer was bought back in 2009, along with the dark blue version, when Topshop had an incredible influx of Chanel inspired pieces. Even though I bought it a size too small I still think I rock it!

I also teamed it with one of my new Chanel Ballerinas. All grey patent from Pre Spring Summer 2014. I have a few grey bags so I love finding perfect shoes to match. Not only do they match my grey bags, but I found the lavender undertone in the ballerina to complement the light denim of my jeans, and I feel they will match nicely with almost anything denim.

I really need to give credit where credit is due. Doreen...Thank you. Thank you for introducing the Celine Trio to me. I was always aware of it, I always wanted one but never took the plunge in fear of one of the compartments falling off. But then you came along and I finally bought my first last year a beautiful dark green, and then this one the "lipstick" red. A soft red mixed with a pink with gold zips. I am addicted. I find both go with almost everything and are the perfect size (both of mine are larger trios which I find accommodates my every day uses perfectly compared to the oh so cute smaller size) for everyday use especially travelling. I am now fully addicted to buying more (watch this space for a new one…)
