Punky Ballerina

I do not at all claim to be "out the fashion box" or a complete and utter fashionista. But...I fall head over heel for some quirky ass shoes. I like to think of it as my thing. I love wearing a basic outfit (honestly 90% of my wardrobe is an ode to Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen) with quirky pieces. Shoes are as you all know my ULTIMATE weakness. Shoes have a hotline to my credit card. Even my dad takes note on what shoes I wear home when I'm visiting. I love shoes. I usually don't fall for the typical Louboutin (not that there is anything wrong with them) it's not my pace or style, for me it has lost that quirky aspect, it's fallen into the commercial bracket. I love when my friends call my shoes ugly makes me feel I have achieved something great because I know our tastes differ (there are rare occasions all my friends love my shoes. That's a day our hormones aline)

So as the story of my life goes...The SS16 Miu Miu show blew me away as usual. What blew me away were the ballerinas, soft satin meets aggressive black straps with one gingham and one black wrap-round ribbon. Swoon. So this is how a serial runway obsessive works...you add the picture to a special folder of the season pieces you want, you go into the store and harass your favourite sales assistant until they tell you they've only just got the buying book and that your name is added to the size list and you'll get the call when they come in. You walk past your favourite stores religiously and also as it is on the road you work on...panic because they're in the store window but no one has contacted you and then your mind goes into complete overdrive and you sob because you think they've forgotten your obsessive compulsive stalker face but in reality the Visual team are just doing their job and getting your attention. Cue a sea of online websites selling what you want and selling out within hours before you see your emails, you return to the boutique who at this point think you're insane but kinda cute too but they only have the satin version which make you look like you have a serious case of boat feet (never ever EVER take the judgement of others, if you feel your feet look big, you make the decision), everyone you message a picture to tells you you're being a dick because they're ugly, but in your heart you know they're wrong they just haven't seen the leather versions, you later remember that you really don't care if your friends don't like them.(Dear friends I love and value your opinions more than you know. No shade just pure love) its your money. You don't buy the satin because in all honesty desperation is not our middle name...perfection is. Doubt sits in your mind...due to asking people what they think...then that moment you see what you knew was right.....and it's love. pure addictive love. The right size, right colour, right material and overall you know you will eat like a bird just to sleep in them.

My process.

Welcome to my world.

So...this is exactly how it went when I bought my Gucci Dionysus bag. Everyone hated it out of my friends, Gucci is still regarded Chavy by people who have their head stuck in the wrong time frame...let's move along with the times Alessandro is here. Although I am happy if the commercial buyers of this world are still scared of a little GG action...it's retro, no one is expecting you to walk out the house a la Daniella Westbrook style. Subtle is key. I do not deny that I couldn't agree with Gucci pre Michele, I had bought the odd few bags before this (my soho disco and my lady web) under the sheer fact I knew Alessandro had his hands all over these, the pre AM was not my cuppa. Frieda had taken the brand to a stagnant point of bronze boredom, Alessandro literally blossomed like the floral arrangements on the two-piece suits. Now this is what I want. I live my life searching for the perfect vintage rings, the perfect vintage style tops. and lets not forget who doesn't want to walk around in fur slip ons? If you don't then you seriously don't know what you're missing and I suggest continuing that love affair for Louboutin….

Chanel On The Go.

Denim Shirt- Monki
Joggers- H&M
Leather Jacket- Zara
Sneakers- Chanel
Necklace- Chanel
Bracelet- Balenciaga
Rings- Cartier 'Love'

I cannot believe it has taken me this long to post about my absolute loves…The Chanel sneakers from AW14 collection. So I know i am a lucky pup. My job and hard work always pays off when it comes to getting the pieces I love. I was extra lucky when I was told I could buy as many pairs and I wanted 3 days before the launch of the collection! I of course had the pink on my list since the show and the bright multicolour, but I didn't realise I would fall in love with the grey as much as I did.

But alas I stuck with my original 2 choices and a pair of the classic running sneakers which finally came in a colour combo that suited my style and taste. I instantly had to wear them so I wore my first and favourite out -These to die for Pink Tweed. Now these are the ones almost everyone wanted due to the whole runway look (Oh and Alexa Chung having them) so I was so smug walking around the days before launch but didn't realise walking to my meeting in Selfridges would lead to a woman screaming at me to tell her who sold them to me. Wow!

That aside, this outfit was so planned pre obtaining my dream sneakers. When you ask? Well when I bought these joggers in H&M Paris. If you know me well you will know I am not big on sports luxe, I love sneakers but not the biggest jogger fan. I just immediately fell in love with these and instantly knew what to pair it with, classic denim shirt and leather jacket. I especially love that my favourite Monki denim shirt worked so so well with the outfit. Now it's time to work out what other outfits will go with my pants.

Under The Bridge

This outfit post was a total impromptu shoot after an evening at the theatre. We had plans to shoot on the Southbank but sadly had a short period between the show starting (Arthur Millers "A View From The Bridge" performed at the Young Vic with Mark Strong. Amazing.) and having a Byron burger or shooting…I love my blog and sharing my outfits but come on always the BURGER! A bit disappointed with the short amount of time, the boyfriend demanded I start posing under Waterloo bridge…Not streetwalkerish at all. But hey, if the photographer is feeling it who am i to argue ;) Plus i cannot express how much I LOVE this Topshop striped tunic.

This is one of my many Chanel necklaces. This was one is special as it celebrates the 100 year anniversary of the first Chanel store opening. I had this gorgeous piece as a Christmas present from work. I love how combination of burgundy and the pearly white. This colour combo really reminds me of the Tudor era.

My Zara leather jacket…where do I start with this bad boy. God I love this. I have 3 leather jackets in my wardrobe (I am super fussy) my vintage Topshop which has perforated leather sleeves and suede inserts, this one, and my beyond perfect Sandro distressed cracked leather jacket. I bought this because it was my perfect longline leather jacket. The leather is ageing beautifully and instead of buying this full price (£180) I bought it for a wonderful £60. A bargain and a wardrobe staple. What more can a woman ask for? I know that next on my leather jacket list is a bright Acne and a leather bomber jacket from  Isabel Marant Etoile. Obviously I love non branded too, my leather jacket mantra is  As long as it's leather with a phenomenal fit it's the jacket for you. Obviously PU jackets are never the answer especially as the fit is never the same.

I originally wanted this tunic in the red stripes, but as it always goes when shopping, you try it on, you tell yourself you'll come back for it and then you never see it again and see EVERYONE in London (replace London with your local town!!!) wearing it. Enter my wonderful sister who shouted in cap locks on whatsapp "THE NAVY STRIPED TUNIC IS IN THE TALL SECTION" That's right we can't go a day without showing one another what we wear or buy. This was one of her best announcements on whatsapp. I quickly ordered mine and felt this was the perfect length…take that red striped tunic. The length is perfect for autumn to summer. I can wear with tight or without. I just wish Topshop would play around with colours because I'd have them all!

I remember when I bought these Louboutin Freds, 2012 Fashions Night Out at the loub party where me and the sister ended the night. It was a fab night full of good cocktails and making new fashionable friends. I am so excited that it is heading back to London this year. It's about time! This time I won't wait 2 years to wear a pair of shoes! That's right! I waited 2 years to wear these sparkly beauties. Do not ask me why, I thought I was being wise due to the nature of the material but it was more i didn't want to tarnish the soles. So fuck it I wore them and now I love them more than ever. They had the best compliments and more so they aren't available any more so SCORE!

This was the first Chanel bag I ever had as my own and i really think I earned this one. I was lucky in my childhood, I constantly use to steal my mums Chanel bags and was never allowed to touch my grandmothers vintage collection until I "grew up". Of course that meant graduating…I think. This red 2.55 was given to me when I graduated with a 2:1 in English Literature. When I got it I screamed. I was expecting a bag but my usual choice of Miu Miu or Gucci at that time. I have never felt so appreciative in my life. Silly I know but I was in a stage where my life became more about appreciating fashion. My god if I knew this Red Chanel was my downwards spiral into a world of double C's I would of saved my student loans! Within months of getting my first job with French Connection I dove straight into growing my own Chanel collection… It's still growing guys!

Shut Up And Kiss Me

Morning all,

I hope everyone is having a good week so far, sadly the weather in London is awful. Thank god I am working from home today and waiting for some furniture to be delivered. I must say my week has been a busy thanks to Couture week in Paris but I absolutely love working Couture shows. They are so much more special than the normal seasonal shows as the art and craft that goes into the clothing is just pure perfection. Plus watching the girls put the clothing together is such a magical process. I know the vision is Karl but the seamstresses are the true talent. I cannot wait to show you my photos from the show in a future blog post.

I love this look, the t-shirt is quite a questionable one to wear around London. The amount of men who approached me was astonishing…seriously it's a t-shirt men…you know sarcasm. But hey I was walking around Soho. I will never stop loving crazy t-shirts. I definitely recommend looking at ASOS for similar t-shirts. The blazer is one of my favourite buys from Topshop this season. I have a real soft spot for grey tones and immediately fell in love with the blazer. Cute for casual and work looks.

I've started using this Christopher Kane clutch so much more lately. I bought it last year during the sample sale. It's the perfect day to night size and I can get the essentials in. Plus its navy leopard! I love it! I also got this cute little pom from Poppy London. It is cute and nice alternative to using my Fendi fur monster. My only quip with the store is the poor delivery service. But hey I have it now so lets just roll with that.

Everyone knows I am a Chanel shoe fanatic. I am proud of my lusty love of expensive shoes, especially Chanel ones. These silver brogues are from the Cruise collection and were made in limited quantity. Hardly nobody had these in stock so I was shocked when I found out my gorgeous best friend Gaspard bought these in Paris for me. I feel so blessed to have such a thoughtful friend. These are so  comfortable but then again I find all Chanel shoes comfortable. I know that these will be perfect for next season metallic and winter whites trends.

Since buying this Zara pearl bracelet I have worn it practically everyday. So much so I really wish I bought a second one. I constantly get asked at work if it is the Chanel one. Score. For readers asking about the Cartier Love Bracelet- I cannot fault them. I love both of mine as they are so precious to me. Both of my bracelets are special and have a meaning behind both. I also have matching rings from 3 of my closest friends. I am really into simple jewellery at the moment as a look like this shouldn't be over shadowed by busy pieces.

Chanel Graffiti Sac à Dos.

Evening everyone,

As a lot of you know by now I am a Chanel Fanatic! It doesn't help that I am surrounded by it 24/7 but I guess that is just an excuse really ;) But I have recently been shoe obsessed so bags haven't really been on my radar...My last Chanel bag was a special one, a classic boy bag. I am big on classics. My whole collection is a pallet of red, beige and black with the odd electric blue. So when I saw the Chanel Graffiti Backpack pre runway in October 2013 for Spring Summer 14 I just knew boundaries had to be brake just like the collection to allow something so amazing...

Obviously from October to Now, March, is a long time to wait, but in true addictive manner I placed my name on a ever growing list with my beautiful girl Melissa at the end of December. This was one of those "You can't skip the queue" pieces! Wave goodbye to the thought of walking into Chanel and expecting it on the shop floor. The closest one will get to this bag (if not on the list with your sales assistant) is admiring A) A client trying on the backpack, B) On the Mannequin.

You can imagine the network of Chanel friends I have through out the UK stores, everyone was on standby for me and I finally got my call Monday to confirm I wanted it. Sadly I was stuck in meetings with my friend sending me photos of the one I wanted so she could keep it on hold until Tuesday afternoon.

My poor friend, looking back at the texts I bombarded her so much (good thing too, her colleagues tried to have it for their clients!) even i would be annoyed. But it was worth it. Monday night was a tense one with exciting anticipation. Come Tuesday (yesterday) I worked my little booty and ran to pick my bag up.

Obviously it was a no brainer. I know a lot of people will see it as a lot of money wasted on canvas but i genuinely think the value of this will exceed the price of what i pay. How many backpacks will come from a collection inspired by an art with an art exhibition runway?!

Bringing it home was fun...In a giant bag fit to make me look like I actually had looted a Chanel store, or a walking millionaire, I sat on the tube from Bond Street to Stratford pre rushour clutching onto it with my dear life! Don't worry guys she (yes it's a she) got home in one pieces and we waited patiently for Alan to come home to document my happiness!

I AM IN LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was nice to document the arrival of a new Chanel in the family. I've been buying Chanel since I was 18 (younger if you count me buying with my mum and sister in London and Heathrow terminal 3 pre summer holidays to Pakistan.) but no one has ever captured my reactions. Every bag i buy and bring home gets the same rush of adrenaline...I am a junky!

Just look at the detailing...

Obsessed with the quilted back and Chanel Luggage tag.

I made the most of the camera being out- My Outfit of the day:

Leopard Shirt- Primark
Jeans- J Brand
Tweed Cardigan- Zara
Backpack- Louis Vuitton
All Black Leather Espadrilles- Chanel

Pendant- Chanel

Rings- Cartier Love, Dad's Signet ring.
Automatic Watch- Swatch.
Bracelet- Cartier Love Bracelet.

Here is a sneak peak of the backpack in action which will be coming soon on the blog...

I would love to hear what you guys think of the backpack and the trend at the moment. Are we feeling it?

 Thanks for reading guys.
