H&M Icons Collection does it Celine style.

Evening everyone,

I hope everyone has had a lovely week and is enjoying their weekend. My week consisted of work and flat hunting and it's safe to say London is a bitch to find a decent flat in. But me and the other half have found a lovely little flat just waiting on all the paper work to go through and then I can start planning our Cath Kidston style flat (sorry Alan). So I am happily relaxing in Wales.
Last week saw the release of the H&M Icons collection, pieces based on major designer brands. Last year was a success and this year has followed swiftly especially with the Celin style 100% leather jacket.












Now, I am a content leather jacket owner, I have 4. I am a fussy Madame when it comes to leather jackets but when I was in Paris my heart sank when I tried on the Celine, but alas I just couldn't justify it (even with my cousin Farah's discount!) So this really impressed me! Especially at £99.99!!!The fit is just perfection-true to size, the leather is buttery soft with a nice gloss and the it just screams chic! I bought it without hesitation and never looked back! I spent most of this week rocking it!












I had some really nice comments from people, some asking if it was actually Celine, Balenciaga or Carven. The highstreet wins again!
Even the bloggers have cottoned on too....

SS13 Trend: Perspex

Evening everyone,

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend, from what i saw on twitter (and the boyfriend) there was plenty of sun and heat about. Alas none of that happened in wet and grey south wales. I'm hoping london has some good weather this week so i can enjoy my sunglasses and my spring clothes!!!!!!!

I, and the rest of the fashion world, are madly obsessed with Perspex right now. It is a huge trend this season and the fashion house and the high street have welcomed it with open arms. I have always had a soft spot for perspex (and holographic but thats for another blog post ;) ) so it thrills me to see bloggers, street style and high street embracing it in crazy ways.

My love turned into a massive hunt for the perfect bag and shoes  (I have always wanted the Christian Louboutin perspex heel but sadly i am not a heels person).  Enter the Corbeau flats:

They're also available in gold snake toe/ blue back and all black....

Soon after finding the perfect perspex shoe, I quickly found my perfect perspex bag (don't you just love when that happens). Of course i would of died for the Valentino Rockstud tote....but sadly i didn't have £1550 spare.

It also comes in white and black and a smaller version too! 

As you can see from the photo this bag is perfect as the back is all leather and the front is perspex so nice to hide the not so pretty handbag bits at the back! It also doubles as a cute clutch too.  When i used it i had lots of nice compliments and some very shocked reactions that it was MBMJ.
